The veteran singer-songwriter will again present “The Songwriters’ Circle” for this year’s festival.
Winner of the Folkemusikprisen in 1997, and the writer of “It’s Good to See You” (there are more than 100 cover versions of this song), Allan Taylor is one of the last of the travelling troubadours who came through the nineteen sixties and made a career as a solo singer-songwriter. From the vibrant folk music scene of London and then to Greenwich Village, New York where he lived for a few years, he played the legendary clubs and concerts of America and recorded in Nashville, Los Angeles and New York. By the mid-seventies he returned to England, and he has toured consistently throughout Europe since those days. He has been “on the road” for more than fifty years and has made more than twenty-five Albums/CDs. His songs have been recorded by more than 150 performers throughout the world, in more than ten different languages. His latest CD will be ready for the festival, and is called, “The Road Well Travelled”.
